Sunday Social

1. What is your favorite fall activity?

I really just think it's walking around in a cozy sweater, boots and warm scarves and taking in the cooler temperatures and all the leaves changing colours.

2. Do you follow a football team? If so, which one and why?

I don't follow a football team. The CFL in Canada absolutely sucks and although I don't dislike football, I just don't find myself watching games on TV. I fully understand the game, too, so it has nothing to do with that. College football in the states seems really fun and I feel like if I lived in the states, I'd be really into that (or maybe just into the food haha).

3. What is something fun about fall in your area?

Apple orchids and pumpkin patches galore! The Prince Edward County area which is about 1.5 hours from me is SO lovely to go to this time of the year with all of their wineries.

4. What are your favorite fall staple outfits?

Think skinny jeans, riding boots, warm scarfs, collared shirts.

5. What things are you looking forward to most about this coming fall season?

I'm most excited at attempting to bake another apple pie and finally being able to wear my scarves!

6. What is your favorite fall holiday? Tradition?

Thanksgiving is my favourite fall holiday (which happens to be in October for us Canadians!). I had such memorable Thanksgiving dinners/time with family growing up, and although it is much different now since we are all scattered about, it is still fun!

My mother also passed away 6 years ago on Thanksgiving Day so this holiday is extra special to me. It's a weekend to remember how blessed I am and to always give thanks for all the special people I've been surrounded by.

    6. Thanksgiving - it used to mean the entire family on my mom's side getting together at the cottage (all 17 of us).

  4. I am very sorry about your mother. I am glad that you still find a reason to be thankful this time of year. I really like the fall clothes and the cooler weather. I can't put up with snow, though. I am a West Indian girl who loves warmer temps.

    Happy Fall,

  5. I love the cooler temperatures too - it almost makes you feel like you can just breathe better!

I don't follow any football either... I actually enjoy watching games in person, but not on TV. So I don't keep up much. I need someone to cheer on! Haha.

  7. Just wanted to thank you for stopping by yesterday from the link-up. So sorry to hear about your mom. My husband and I lost our 6 year old daughter a few years ago (I don't talk about it a lot) so Thanksgiving is tough for us too but we try to make the best of it. Hope to see you again and have a wonderful week!
