Five on Friday

You know the drill for Friday! Linking up with some fabulous ladies.

One

I need a crockpot. Yes, I said need! For the past 2 years I have told myself I don't need one nor do I have the space for one (sounds absurd, but that's condo living). I may ask for one for Christmas...and my whole family/Mr.C will roll their eyes at me ha!

It makes me so excited for the fall which is just around the corner. Do you have a favourite brand?

Two

My eyes are currently dilated from an eye appointment I just got back from. I can barely even see what I am typing haha. The good news is that I still have 20/20 vision 2 years post laser eye surgery! Full experience can be found here!

Three

Peaches are finally in season!!!! I am going to go to the St Lawrence Market and get some fresh local ones this weekend. I hate how they are only in season for such a short amount of time so I try to eat mass amounts. Speaking of peaches, when I was in grade school, I ate a whole basket without washing them. I woke up the next morning covered in hives..for days. Wash your peaches ladies (unless you buy organic I guess)!!

I need a new blush. I wear "Warm Soul" by Mac basically every single day and it's running low. It's been my go to blush for the past few years and I am ready to switch it up. Any recos?!

I've been on a huge reading kick lately. I just finished "Size 14 Is Not Fat Either" - by Meg Cabot. I don't typically like her books (to the point where I can't even finish them) and although I didn't love this book, it kept me entertained. I had no idea it was going to be a mystery. Are all of her books always mysteries? This just shows you that I've never finished any of her other books!

Enjoy your weekend. The weeks are just flying by!

  1. yes, you NEED a crock pot! I am obsessed with mine, especially in Fall but I really use it all year round because its so easy and makes everything taste so yummy! I have just the "Crock-Pot" brand one, and I love it. I don't know if you have bed, bath & beyond near you, but it's pretty affordable there because they have coupons! It's this one: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=18700891

    Happy Friday!

  2. I'm planning to go to the St. Lawrence Market this weekend too! We went to a market in Vancouver that reminded me of it. Andrew's response was, "I've never been to the St. Lawrence Market." Say what?! I told him we'd have to go this Saturday. :)

If you're going to invest in a crock pot, I suggest getting one with a timer! That way you don't have to worry about it all when you leave the house.

    1. Haha, that's hilarious! I actually don't go there too often either (ie once a year?!) but I CAN say I have been!

Yes, I've heard about the whole timer on a crockpot. Definitely going to invest a little more to get that!

  7. That market looks awesome! Crockpots are amazing.. especially in the winter. My only suggestion, is that ours has a digital timer on the front, which I really like.
