Things I Wish I was Brave Enough To Do

I saw this idea from Jenni over at Flying on a Rainbow and wanted to follow suit. Go check out her blog if you don't already. She is amazing!

Here are a few things I wish I was brave enough to do.

Quit My Job & Go Travel

I feel like I missed the boat on this. I know it's so much more common now to take a year off of school to travel abroad or take a year between university graduation and starting "real working life" but I didn't do either. Don't get me wrong, I have traveled abroad numerous times but usually it was for 2 weeks at a time. I think it would be so fun to really immerse yourself in a culture and stay for a few months. In order to do that, I would need to quit my job!

Scuba Dive

I love the water. I am a strong swimmer and not really deathly afraid of sharks, fish or anything of the sort but scuba diving freaks me out! I've done the snorkeling thing and that was fine, but something about being attached to a breathing supply scares me.

Join an Intramural League

I know this sounds lame and pretty stupid of me to put in here, but I grew up playing sports. A part of me really misses this and I've been toying with the idea of joining an intramural league but I am terrified. It makes me feel like I am back in grade school!

Flip A House

I would absolutely love to flip a house. Buy one that is barely standing and make it my own. This isn't feasible right now because I don't have the money to do that but even pretending if I did, I still am not sure if I would be brave enough. It's a lot of work!!!

What do you wish you were brave enough to do?

  4. You should totally join an intramural league! Then you can inspire us all to do the same. Except me. I am awful at sports!

I wish I was brave enough to move far away (maybe I am but the opportunity has yet to arise!).

  5. Quit my job and travel! I went straight to work after college and now the opportunity to take months off to travel has passed.

  6. I'd love to quit my job and travel but too but then I'd have no money to travel! My husband joined a kickball team and I thought he was so brave! I'd never have the guts to join a team where I didn't know anyone! I have no desire to scuba dive. I'd feel so claustrophobic! I didn't really care for snorkeling in Grand Cayman!

  7. I wish I traveled for a bit longer before entering the working world! Now I have to settle for one or two weeks at a time too! Where would you go?

  8. Remember when all those flipping shows were popular (like, 2009 before the housing bust)? They made it look like anyone could do it! That would be a lot of fun to do. I also wish I could quit my job and travel. But as I mentioned before, I'm a worrier, and that probably would set me over the edge :)

  9. Fun post topic :) I have NO desire to scuba dive. Like, not even a little bit. I guess I wish I were brave enough to cook and NOT follow the recipe to a T. What can I say? I don't like living on the edge. haha.

  10. I definitely wish I had traveled after I finished school too! I would do it now if I could :-) And YES to flipping a house!

  11. Hey Sarah! I saw Jenni's post as well and it inspired me, too! I have a similar post going up tomorrow. If you ever accomplish scuba diving, I applaud you! I tried it on my honeymoon last year and it was a dismal failure. Scariest thing I've ever done, hands done. But my husband says it's absolutely the coolest thing he's ever experienced.
